The design for the new Warr Acres Fire Station accomplishes all of the client's goals:

• Replace the existing aging facility with a new and efficient building on the same site

• Increase apparatus bays from two to three to accommodate their current fleet. Bays need to be wider and higher to allow for today's larger vehicles

• Arrange building to allow for drive-through apparatus bay to reduce vehicle damage

• Create indoor and outdoor space for fire department staff allowing for training and down time

• Design facility with current safety standards with firefighters in mind

• Provide secure employee parking and provide storm shelter for local employees
